About the project

 

Strategic asset of 9,000 sqm of institutional quality office space for lease: 6,782 sqm of GLA and development project located on the corner of the Gare Du Midi train station, Brussels, Belgium. The asset was acquired directly from Nordea Bank under a lease with the Belgian Ministry of Finance in 2002 and sold in 2008. Bifrost acquired 100% of the shares in Marci and was responsible for the origination, financing, value creation and active management of the asset.

During the holding period, the company has directly sourced the acquisition, facilitating the closing with Nordea Bank and debt financing with Dexia Bank. The lease contract was extended with the Ministry of Finance and the asset was positioned as a keystone in the wider development of the Gare Du Midi international train station in Brussels, part of a major redevelopment district in Brussels.
